Title: page permission problem
Post by: gebeer on February 18, 2012, 04:44:10 am
Hello,

thanks for this great software!
SMF 2.0.2
Mods:
ezPortal 0.6.0
Tagging System 2.4.2
Default Avatar 2.2

I'm on a fairly new install. We have a members only forum. Standard permissions for unregistered guests are set to 0.
Everything works fine, except guests cannot view an article that I have created with EP.
The article permissions are set to unregistered guests and everyone else.
But the article cannot be viewed by guests. Following the link to the article always redirects to login page with warning: only registered members have access to this area.

I've checked all possible permission settings for SMF and EP that I could find.

Anyone an idea what could be the problem?

Thank you.

Tested on my test site and pages appear ok for guests if they have guests permissions set for that specific page.

You are using the ezportal page system for articles?

Thanks for the quick reply.

Yes, I set up the article with EP page system. Page has guest permissions. Menu in bottom block, also with guest permissions/visibility.

I doubleckecked all permission settings for EP and SMF that I could find without success.

Also tried to setup new article. Same result.

EP installed with no errors. And I manually went over the changes that happen during install to Subs.php, ManagePermissions.php etc. Everything is there right in place.

Then I deinstalled EP, installed Tinyportal and set up everything there. Same behaviour. Guests cannot view pages :-(

I deinstalled Tinyportal and reinstalled EP because I like it better :-)

So I guess, it's not a specific EP related problem. Has something to do with my other permission settings.

Kind of stuck now...

Hmm none of those should affect the permisiosns system
