yes its SMF 2.0.9 not a lot of mods.. ad mod pro and gallery mod. itrader mod and some other simple ones.
here is the forum
"http://southerncaliforniahunting.com/huntersforum/index.php"
and our main page.
http://southerncaliforniahunting.com

the goal here is to have SMF and the portal take over the main page. the forum is getting a lot of views but the main page is getting ignored. I think a big part of that is that its joomla and not integrated at all with the forum. We want to do articles and have things all work together.

a idea of what i am after would be bdoutdoors.com

thank you for the help

Hello,

Installing EzPortal is no problem what so ever, I may do it free, I can set Up a front page like  this here! However the example you are referring, will need A complete web site design, and those site all have their own  php code.

The joomla system you are using looks great, will very hard to duplicate on SMF, not mention the author's copyright.

I to be real honest I feel that your SEO will be better if, you let the links from the front page to the forums and back.

the other site you used for example is yet other system xenforo.

also not certain but joomla should have some way to check the page views.

Just some things to keep in mind.

Please let know your thoughts!

A complete theme is also a possibility!
But nothing will easily do like you have shown here!

regards,
Maxx

thanks for the response.

Yes the joomla site looks good. It was build by us so there is no copywrite problems. We are not looking for something that looks the same to be honest. just to be more integrated with smf

the work involved to customize it is why i was looking for a pro that can do that for a pay job. Sounds like this is not the way to go.

thanks for your time though

Thanks for getting back to us, please remember if you decide you want a portal, we can can do it and there maybe other things that can be done, if you so. Adding a portal will not hurt anything that you have though!

Maxx
