Hi Folks,
Upon trying to install this to the latest SMF (no pre-existing version of ezportal), I'm hitting a wall where the install is asking for a file's permissions to be opened up before it can proceed. However, the file does not exist on the server, so I am at an impasse.
Some of the files the package manager needs to modify are not writable. This needs to be changed by logging into FTP and using it to chmod or create the files and folders. Your FTP information may be temporarily cached for proper operation of the package manager. Note you can also do this manually using an FTP client - to view a list of the affected files please click here.
The following files need to made writable to continue installation:
/var/www/vhosts/forum.tvpsupport.com/public/Packages/temp/delme.tmp
Again, there is no such file as delme.tmp present in that location, and a search across the entire server shows that no such file exists anywhere at this 'stuck' stage of the install.
Clicking on the "Proceed" button eventually times out, producing the error below.
Gateway Timeout
The gateway did not receive a timely response from the upstream server or application.

The issue is SMF doesn't have permission to write to the the folder /var/www/vhosts/forum.tvpsupport.com/public/Packages/temp
It is trying to do the install and fails it trys to create that temp file to test if it is writable or not.

My apologies. It turns out that a previous server admin had the SGID bit set on the Packages dir (and some others). Once those were removed, the install went through without a hitch.
Thank you for your time, and for this extension.

Glad you have it working good luck on your forum.
