Cant install. help!
« on: February 16, 2010, 11:50:43 am »
smf 1.1.11

uploaded via package manager.  I get this error:  Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in D:\Hosting\5513724\html\charlestonboatingforum\Sources\Subs-Package.php on line 1863

any ideas?  I have deleted, reinstalled, deleted, reinstalled.  it just sits for a minute then gives error.

Open Sources/Subs-Package.php
Find
Code: [Select]
function package_put_contents($filename, $data, $testing = false)
{
global $package_ftp, $package_cache, $modSettings;
static $text_filetypes = array('php', 'txt', '.js', 'css', 'vbs', 'tml', 'htm');
Add after
Code: [Select]
ini_set("max_execution_time",120);

still cant get it to work.  Im kinda new to this, did i do it right?  i opened the php file as a txt doc and edited it and saved it as .php then uploaded it back to original location.  did i add the code in the right place?

function package_put_contents($filename, $data, $testing = false)
{
   global $package_ftp, $package_cache, $modSettings;
   static $text_filetypes = array('php', 'txt', '.js', 'css', 'vbs', 'tml', 'htm');
   iniset("max_execution_time",120);

now i get this error:  Fatal error: Call to undefined function iniset() in D:\Hosting\5513724\html\charlestonboatingforum\Sources\Subs-Package.php on line 1833

This is more of a general SMF question than an ezportal question check on simplemachines.org
