How about a random downloads block that will show the thumbnail of the download kinda like random gallery? Has this been done yet?

Probably need to add support for that for downloads pro. I don't think downloads lite has a screenshot option.

I'm using downloads pro and the screenshot for recent downloads works fine in the portal block just don't have a random download screenshot in the block. Wouldn't that be the block rather than the download pro? :-\
