Post by: jimwinters on September 29, 2009, 05:36:44 pm
i know i will get burned for this but i was on ezportal 2.8 and just upgraded to 3.1, and can't seem to find the ezportal menu in admin. what i did was i uninstalled 2.8 completely before uploading 3.1 in the package manager. what am i missing?

What version of SMF are you using? And is the package listed as installed in the package manager?

SMF 2.0 RC1 (i've been trying to update it to 1-1, then 1-2 for weeks now and can't seem to update it, even tried the ftp packages thing to no avail). anyhow, yes, ezportal 3.1 is on the package manager but i can't see the ezportal menu on admin. i'm sure i went wrong somewhere, but i guess i'm as clueless as a, well, a baby dancing all the single ladies.

I would try uninstalling it again and then do a reinstall. I hope to have another ezportal version released in one week.

tried that to no avail, even tried deleting the ezportal folder that the package creates when installing ezportal

Hmm might be a permission issue the if you can even install the latest SMF updates.

I would try Package Manager -> Options
Then reset the file permissions

If that does not work try to reset the file permissions using the control panel on the your webhosting

It would say that if you still had the old version of EzPortal installed.

Click on that Installed list Tab in the package manager to check
