shoutbox horizontal scrollbar

Hi fellas,

Noticed that when running SMF 2.0.8 and EzPortal 2.0.1, the shoutbox shows a horizontal scrollbar, like displayed previously.

I changed

Code: [Select]
Sources/Subs-EzPortalMain2.php
from

Code: (php) [Select]
<textarea name="shout"  rows="3" cols="30" style="width: 98%"></textarea>
to
Code: (php) [Select]
<textarea name="shout"  rows="3" cols="30" style="width: 97%"></textarea>
This occurs both in our altered theme, and the the SMF default Core theme.

I have the same scrollbar on the lastest version of ezPortal. I remember to hard coded a fix on the previous version I had installed and it came back now.

I can not duplicate this issue so far...

below you will see a screen of the Ez Shout, with the default theme, set at 80% wrapper and no H bar. tried with my themes,,,the same..Please note, that ezPortal inherits the CSS of your current theme , so this should not be an issue with the portal. but possibly with your theme.

In your theme's css, check to see, if it has some margins set in the in the:
Quote
input, button, select, textarea
( special note to the textarea !) also are there additional,  padding setting there, should a low number like 2px or so
If it does, you can tweak that, to a lower setting, till the bar goes away.
