Title: New Ezblocks refuse to show up.... Please help
Post by: Kohlteth on February 24, 2010, 07:40:55 am
Ok, I created  few ezblocks, on the left side,

10 User,
20 Recent Posts
40 Members Online.

I added a Search Ezblock, and tried to put it in at 10, and move the other 3 down.

Hit save and it vanished.

I have tried several times now and it says it's at 10, but nothing there, and User is still at the top.

I got this error message come up.

You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'ORDER BY p.id_order ASC' at line 5
File: /home/content/s/t/e/********/html/caap/Sources/EzPortal.php
Line: 691

Any ideas please and I really dont want to have to do a fresh install?

When are you getting that error? What actions are taking to get there?

For ezBlocks to show up requires two things first the membergroups permissions need to be setup correctly and then the visible settings control what page/areas the ezBlocks show up at.

It was there, then it vanished, visible all boards setting.

I have since deleted and tried to recreate the missing Search block, and it creates, but does not show up anywhere.

I even tried to create one on a diff panel, (top) still no show.

Hmm now it's showed up again.

Thanks for your offer of help though.

I love this portal btw so easy to use, I switched from trying to use TinyPortal cos it kept crashing.

That error message the only way I can see that happening is if you have one window/tab open to editing the ezBlock then have in another window/tab delete that ezBlock then that problem would occur.

Same here, TP cost me my entire forum and so when I started over, I went in search of a new and easier portal.  EZPortal fit the bill.
