My forum is too skinny
« on: November 26, 2008, 05:50:38 pm »
HI EZPortal,

Can you tell me how to fix my forum?  I've uploaded your mod to my site but it changed my forum to be too skinny for my liking.  Everything is squished together.  How do I make it so my forum is the same as previous?

Okay, I know you said I should change the width, but how do I do that?  I can't find the settings.  Or am I being stupid again?

Also, how do I put a Center block at the bottom?

...and  could you make it so the blocks on the left and right go down a few lines?  So the top is in line with the center forum?  It's only a cosmetic thing, but it's really bugging me!

Inside the
ezBlock Manager

Near the Column name for example Left it says "Edit Column"

Need to see the theme that you are using to see what it is doing.

Ah!  I see!  Missed it because of my header colouring.   ::)  My bad.

Thanks, though the columns still looks skinny to me.  I have a large resolution though, so I don't want to make it too wide, in case others don't have it so big.   :o  Could you make it a percentage?

Sorry, don't wish to sound winey here.  :-X

Ok, prob another dumb question, but I like the width of the center column on the front page, is there a way to not have the columns on the forum pages?

Mine is doing the same thing the portal looks fine but the forum is skinny. Almost like it's reserved the space on the sides for the Blocks but I dont want the space there I only want the blocks on the portal. Here is a link to my forum.

Thanks

Edit:  I figured it out!!

This is what you need to do to correct it.

Go into the admin section and click on EzBlock Manager.

This will take you to the point where you can add and removed

here you will see
Left - Edit Column
Center - Edit Column
Right - Edit Column

Click on Edit Column for each one at a time and then click on ''Update Visible Options''
then for Visible Areas you will want to change it so Portal Homepage is the only one checked.

Do that for each and you should be good to go
