Install - Timing Out
« on: March 10, 2010, 08:31:40 pm »
I am try a test site to see the improvement of SMF2.0 RC3 and I am trying to install the current EZ Portal version via the package installer...  It uploaded fine but when I click install the process times out after about a minute of trying...  I am using the curve theme; does anyone have experience/suggestions re: this?

Thanks,
Ray

Yeah looks like a time out issue. I would try that step in that post

At first I though it might be the FTP settings...  Checked the CHMOD settings and then installed other packages and they installed and uninstalled fine...

Tried the latest EZ Portal... No luck... Same results...

Checked the error log and saw this:

Quote
[...]testsite/index.php?action=admin;area=packages;sa=install;package=ezPortal0.3.8.zip2: unlink(...html/testsite/Packages/temp/Subs-EzPortal-Convert2.php) [<a href='function.unlink'>function.unlink</a>]: No such file or directoryFile: .../testsite/Sources/Subs-Package.php

Ok that article is incorrect... I now believe it was a chmod issue...  restored the original /sources/sub-packages.php and she installed... beautiful...  Please mark solved!
