How do i add content to my new portal?

i installed ezportal on my smf 1.1.13 forum and i made a home page for my forum but there is nothing on the page and im not sure witch .php file it is so can somebody tell me how to add stuff on the page? Also it says enable shoutbox is that like a chatbox? if so is there a way i can put that on my "forum" page?
