Help: Need to split the top column into one line

Hello people,
I installed this software on my SMF 1.1: www.downtownmode.com/forum
I want to setup two columns: Recent Threads and Recent Posts but both
in the same line (splited into two, width 50%) and not below one-another.
Also I want 'Most Viewed Threads' and 'Hottest Threads (with most replies)'.
In a way I want something exact as: http://www.cashloopholes.co.uk/forum.php
With same side-columns and top-columns.

Please help.
