Ezportal installation problems
« on: September 19, 2011, 01:44:58 pm »
Hello to all,

I have been using ezPortal already for a year and have been very happy with this portal, today i did a update to the new smf 2.01.
I updated from 2.0 to 2.01 and also installed the new 0.5.2 ezPortal, the problem is that it is shown in installed packages but is not shown in de Admin section or at the forum.
I wanted to uninstall the portal and reinstal again but there are many error shown

Please advise what to do, i really like to use the portal again

I have had problems with several portals, installation with the new SMF patch, as I always recommend, when ever you update the system I would always UN-install any and all mods before any update or,  upgrades.

I first off go through the Admin and clean up and back up the db, empty the errors logs, then upload the smf  update VIA FTP, set the default theme and them call up the update.php in the browser, and slowly go through the update process, when all is done and checked out, I at this time install the portal mod, your table should still be there in the DB so your settings should be back close to what you had!

hope this helps, I know it the long way but better!

Please do not force install when you get errors!

regards,
Maxx
