Attempting clean install...no portal
« on: March 01, 2009, 08:30:56 pm »
Hello,
I've got a clean install of smf 1.1.8, and used the package manager to load ezportal. It says that it is installed, but I don't see anything in the admin panel to configure it, and the home page of the forum is still, well, the forum!

any thoughts, assistance would be helpful

OK, even odder.
Tried to uninstall and got an error .

I complete the uninstall, and it shows that it isn't in my package manager, but when I try to remove it via ftp, I get an error that the file can not be deleted! Reinstalling does the same thing.

-----------

Update:

I was able to go in through cpanel to remove the files, and I reinstalled ezportal per instructions. It did install. However, once the homepage is created, and you wish to go back and edit it, the tinyMCE bar no longer shows up.

Do you need to be using IE? I'm on a mac/ff and safari, but I find it hard to believe it's a browser issue....
