EzBlocks on first page only
« on: January 25, 2010, 03:44:33 pm »
Ok, this probably is such the Noob question, but how do I have an EzBlock only appear on the first page pf my forum? I have tried different combinations of these check boxes:
All Actions and Boards
Forum
Board Index
Portal Homepage

Either it shows up on all pages or none of them.  Thanx for any insight you can share.

So if you have a portal home page.

First add an ezblock and for visible settings choose "Portal Homepage"

Then under EzPortal settings make sure that the portal homepage is enabled

If you are using ezBlocks without the Portal Homepage, as I am, at the moment. Then just set the visibility option for that ezBlock to "Forum Index" and leave all other options un-checked.

Just a thought.  On the preceding page to the visibility settings discussed above when setting up make sure you have set the membergroups as you want.  Unless they're ticked they won't see it.

You can even replicate an ezblock and effectively reposition it for different membergroups by moving them around the area they are diplayed on, left, center, right, no 10, 20, 30 etc.

Great for a 'guest' landing page being different to the members' one.
